Dear brothers and sisters,
Firstly, may I thank you for all the encouraging comments following the live streaming on Sunday. It was a great joy for me to see how each home joined in with the service and to hear positive stories about the materials provided by Matt and Sophie for the young people. I also want to thank all those who enabled this service to happen – you did an amazing job!
Following the announcement from the Prime Minister last night we will now have to find an alternative way to stream services. The team are looking at how best we can do this so we can in some way join together, further information will be coming. In addition, we can no longer open the church for private prayer, but we would be very pleased to pray with you either by phone 020 8305 0520 or by emailing the email@example.com
In addition, we have introduced a ‘Weekly Word’ every Tuesday, and this will be written by different members of the staff and pastoral team. You can find this on the church website or via social media. We really want to encourage, support and equip you in this most challenging time.
Many of you have asked about the Foodbank and they are still in need of food contribution, but instead of dropping food off it will be picked up from you. Furthermore, they are in need of new volunteers. If you can help in either way, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
It has struck me how fast events are moving! Just as one announcement is made, or one plan actioned, suddenly things change again. It can be really difficult to keep up with the advice and we can so easily become disheartened. Paul, who faced many difficulties, in 2 Corinthians 4 twice said that ‘we do not lose heart’ – how was he able to say this with such confidence? Because he knew for the Christian although afflictions affect the outer person, the inner person is renewed every day – you and I are being renewed every single day! Day by day things are changing, and my prayer is that we too, ‘do not lose heart. though outwardly we are wasting away. yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day’ (2 Corinthians 4:16).
Day by day things change but praise God that he is at work in us day by day!
God bless, Eddie
