Dear Church Family
‘How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity.’
Psalm 133:1
There is an irony to the fact that we are in the middle of a sermon series entitled ‘Life Together’ when we are not together physically as a church. Our faith must be shaped not only by how we live as individuals but also how we live together, how we serve together, how we witness together. Authentic fellowship goes far deeper than cups of coffee and casual conversations – it is forged by working through differences in personalities and preferences, being patient with flaws and failures, speaking the truth in love and extending costly grace. As we enter this season as a church family, I have been mindful of what Paul says ‘Make every effort to keep the unity of the spirit’ (Ephesians 4:3). ‘Make every effort’, I wonder what that means for each of us as we continue to live in this fragmented time? It strikes me that more than ever that we need to look to Christ to bring us together again in Him.
Warmly in Christ, Eddie

LENT PRAYER GATHERINGS
This Wednesday is the beginning of Lent as we look towards Easter. This will be a good time for us to come together and to ‘keep alert… and pray’ (Ephesians 6:18). As the pandemic continues we look to the Lord for our comfort, hope and strength. We will be hosting a series of additional prayer gatherings over this period, so please do look out for further information.
