Dear church family,

Have hope, share hope…

‘For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.’
Romans 15:4

Everyone needs hope to face the future with all the uncertainties right now. The news about the vaccines is really hopeful and we can rejoice in that. But this verse reminds us that ultimate hope is found through what the scriptures have revealed. Namely, that ‘Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners’ (1 Timothy 1:15). He was on a rescue mission and that’s the hope we seek to share this Christmas. So can I encourage us all this Christmas to ‘always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have‘ (1 Peter 3:15). I especially pray that your Doorstep Carol event goes well this Saturday!
