Mission Partners

Brothers and Sisters in Christ

As a church we have committed to pray for our mission partners. Philippians 1:3-6 Paul talks about praying with joy because of your partnership in the gospel. Therefore I am writing to urge you to continue to pray for our mission partners and to commend the latest Mission newsletter which has up to date information and prayer points.

Here are some of the prayer points in case you have missed them.

Give thanks:

For those leading online bible studies within the world of sport, online assemblies/lessons prepared by YFC and for those who are participating that the word of God will be planed deeply in people’s lives.

For the staff and volunteers of LCM’s Webber street Day centre providing food and toiletries to those who are homeless

For Tearfund working with partners across the world providing education about the virus and emotional support during this pandemic

For Neema crafts having the contract to make PPE for medical and health care workers

Praying for:

Those who are grieving the loss of loved ones and those feeling isolated by being in lockdown and for our partners as they respond with compassion and the love of Jesus.

Tearfund as they provide food and aid to those in great need across the world

Bishop George as he leads the Mara diocese in Tanzania, teaching about the virus and for protection for the health of the nursery school children

Ben and Katy ray and their children for their health and well being.

The equipping of Sports chaplains as they walk with those who are facing uncertain futures that they might discern your purposes and find Jesus as the source of comfort and strength.

In our neighbourhood:

Pray for Charlton Athletic, the club is still in turmoil regarding ownership and finances

Street pastors have not been out on Fridays nights in Woolwich, pray for their return and training of new street pastors in September

Pray for the young people of Greenwich who would normally access activities in local churches, that a way to restart face to face is found.

For Bene and Rachel and their boys as they plan to serve God in India, pray for them in this time of pause especially as their jobs finish in July.

“May the Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face towards you and give us his peace.” Num 6:24-26
