Footprints Stay & Play
September 20 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
An event every week that begins at 10:00 am on Monday, repeating until December 13, 2021
Footprints is a stay & play group run by a team of volunteers from St. John’s Church. We aim to be a fun, safe play space for children, and a welcoming community where parents and carers can make friends.
As a church run group, we include Bible stories, characters and Christian values as part of our programme. Our volunteers coordinate the activities and are there to make sure that you and your children feel welcome, and to answer any questions you might have about Footprints or church.
No need to book – just turn up. Sessions cost £1, pay on entry.

Although there are no legal restrictions, there are a number of measures in place to try to avoid the spread of Covid-19. For example, we will be limiting the number of attendees, keeping the windows open for ventilation, providing wipes for toy cleaning and making masks optional.
Here is what you can expect at a Footprints session:
10:00-10:30 Free Play
We have a large selection of toys, varied play spaces, a playdough table and a different craft activity linking to the theme of each week. We sometimes invite guests to some of our sessions (photographer, local businesses etc.) so look out for those special dates.
10:30-10:45 Singing & story (children’s drink & snack)
A fun, interactive story & singing time which we encourage everyone to join in if possible. Each week will focus on a different theme from the Bible. During the singing session we provide a fresh fruit snack and drink for the children.
10:45-11:20 Free Play (adults tea & coffee served)
Refreshments are free – visit the kitchen during this time to get a hot drink if you would like one.
11:20-11:25 Show & tell and Goodbye
A chance to see what the children have been doing during the session and say goodbye.
12:25-12:30 Tidy up
If you are able to, please help tidying up by putting toys in boxes and bringing equipment to the side door.
