Boys’ Brigade

We have a long established (formed in 1893) Boys’ Brigade company (the 2nd West Kent) attached to the Church. It is led by Dave Andrews who is assisted by 7 other officers.

The BB company currently has approximately 40 boys from the ages of 5 to 17.

The Boys Brigade evenings are made up of Christian teaching, games, figure marching, drill and band parade. They have outings to places of interest, take part in inter-Battalion competitions, weekends away and a Summer camp for the older boys.

The Boys Brigade meets every Thursday evening in the Boys Brigade Hall, Reynolds Place, Blackheath SE3 8SX:

  • » 5.30pm-6:30pm – Anchor Boys (5-8)
  • » 6.45pm-8.00pm – Junior Section (8-11)
  • » 7.30pm-9.30pm – Company Section (11-18)

It also has a good Parents’ and Friends’ Association which organises various fundraising events throughout the year.

The Boys Brigade Captain is Dave Andrews and more details can be found at www.2ndwestkent.co.uk.
