Youth and Children
At St John’s we are committed to providing youth and children’s work which leads young people to a lively faith in Jesus and to strong supportive friendships with each other.
We invite you to make the most of this dimension of the life of the church – by coming along to the different groups if you are the right age, by encouraging your children to get involved, or by getting involved yourself as a leader.
Every summer we run a holiday club for children aged 3-11yrs. It usually runs over 4 mornings and is packed with fun activities. During each morning we also run a cafe on the grass outside the church which is open to all.
Children and young people are a vital and valuable part of our community. We provide different groups for different ages, so that all are able to participate and enjoy church life. Each group has differences to suit the ages that they cater for, but all seek to include the following elements:
- » learning about the Bible and the Christian faith
- » participating in prayer and worship
- » having lots of fun together
- » learning how to love and serve others
