St John’s Internationals Group
Are you from overseas?
If so, we want to welcome you to St John’s and to our programme of events for internationals. We are a Christian group seeking to offer friendship and hospitality to people new to the UK. We organise social events as well as events for people wanting to find out about the Christian faith.
Suppers and Events
You are very welcome to attend the events and activities that are planned each term. We have a social gathering once a month on a Saturday, usually on the second Saturday evening from 6pm until 9pm.
Dates for 2013
May 4th : join the Pilgrimage
June 1st: day trip to the seaside (Westgate on Sea)
July 6th: trip to National Gallery (this will be open to all the church)
3rd August: Meet at St John’s for Walk in Oxleas Wood
22nd September: St Johns Church Welcome lunch
5th October: Cream tea and games evening at Herbert’s
2nd November: Fireworks party at Herbert’s
7th December: Christmas party at Herbert’s

Home group
Internationals home group meets every month on the second and fourth Sunday starting with lunch at 1pm. We study the bible have discussion and prayer. This group is for those new to the Christian faith or thinking about becoming a Christian. We finish at 4pm with tea – and often scones or cake!
Alpha course
For those wanting to find out more about the Christian faith there is also an Alpha Course please contact Peter if you are interested in coming to the next course.
